Dental Hygienist

Overview

Dental One Associates of Manassas is currently hiring a Dental Hygienist for our office located in Manassas, Virginia 20109. This is a part-time position working Mon & Wed (8am-5pm) and Fri (8am-3pm). We offer a great salary and you’ll be working with a great team of professionals. We’re looking for a Hygienist that is compassionate, detailed oriented and has a positive and professional demeanor. Recent grads from a formal hygiene program are welcome to apply. Must have an active hygiene, and local anesthesia licence in the state of Virginia.

For 25 years, our full-service family dental center has provided outstanding dental care to meet the needs of Manassas families. We offer general and cosmetic dentistry, periodontics, oral surgery, and sedation dentistry for both adults and children, starting at the age of five. Our wide range of dental services and treatment for most ages has made us a one-stop local dentist office for families throughout the community. We’re conveniently located near public transportation at 7800 Sudley Road, Suite 7810, Manassas, VA 20109. Our office is in the PNC Bank building at the intersection of Sudley Road and Sudley Manor Road, in front of Walgreens.

We have been working diligently to ensure all our patients and staff feel safe and protected while in our office. We have all the proper PPE for the staff and are CDC COVID-19 compliant.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

• Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
• Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
• Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
• Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
• Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Active Hygiene license for the state Virginia
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
