Dental Hygienist

Overview

Dental Associates of Northern Virginia (Skyline) is looking to add an additional Dental Hygienist to our amazing team. This is a full-time position working 4 days per week; Mon, Wed, Thur & Fri (8-5).

At Dental Associates of Northern Virginia, we have state-of-the-art technology including digital x-rays, intra-oral cameras, dental lasers, and iTero scanner. Our award-winning team of partner doctors each has 40+ years of experience and we have exceptional specialists to offer our patients comprehensive care under one roof.

Previous experience is always a plus but we also encourage recent dental hygiene graduates to apply as well. The hygienist we hire must have an active hygiene license for the state of Virginia.

We are conveniently located on Route 7 (Leesburg Pike/King Street), easily accessible to I-395 and Route 50, for an easy commute via car. Our office complex also offers Metro Shuttle service to the Pentagon City and Ballston Metro stations.

We have been working diligently to ensure all our patients and staff feel safe and protected while in our office. We have all the proper PPE for the staff and are CDC COVID-19 compliant.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

• Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
• Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
• Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
• Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
• Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Active Hygiene license for the state of Virginia
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
