Konikoff Dentistry – Shore Drive is looking for a Dental Hygienist in Virginia Beach, VA to join our clinical team!

At Konikoff Dentistry, we strive to keep up with the latest technology because our patient’s and staff’s comfort and safety, is very important to us. We are proud to say we will be leading the way with Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), a new technology coming soon to all of our offices. GBT is more effective and more efficient, therefore helping with long-term ergonomics and aiding in the prevention of back and neck pain and carpal tunnel syndrome. Our hygienists currently using GBT absolutely rave about it!!

Previous experience is always a plus, but not always required. Hygienists we hire must have an active hygiene license for the state of Virginia or recent hygiene grads must be applying for license soon.

Schedule:

Mon – Fri (off Thurs) and one half Sat per mo

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

• Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
• Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
• Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
• Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
• Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Desired Skills:

• Active Hygiene license for the state of VA, required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
