Family Dental Group is looking for a Orthodontic Assistant in Fishkill, New York to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Position Overview:
As a Orthodontic Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. What we offer:

• Competitive hourly pay $25Min-$27Max
• Full time: Tuesdy 9am-5pm, Wednesday 9am-5pm, Thursdy 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-5pm, and Saturday 9am-4pm
  • Tuesdays will be at Brewster Pediatrics in Brewster , New York
  • Wednesday’s will be at Family Dental Group in Yorktown Heights, New York
  • Thursday and Friday will be between Brewster & Yoktown Heights no set schedule yet
  • One Saturday a month at Family Dental Group in Fishkill, New York

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• 1 year on-the-job-experience
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant – Preferred
• Orthodontic experience – Preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
