Dental Care Alliance (DCA) is exceptionally proud to announce that it has been named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2023 by Newsweek.

Newsweek, in cooperation with Plant-A Insights Group, conducted an independent study to determine Americas Greatest Workplaces for Diversity for 2023. The list was determined by conducting a large-scale independent survey with 350,000 completed company reviews by employees who work for companies employing at least 1,000 employees in the U.S. The study was 100% independent, as no employers were informed about the study.

As one of only two dental support organizations (DSOs) honored with this designation, DCA consistently prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across the organization. Under the leadership of James Nick, Chief Revenue Officer, DCA launched its DEI Council in early 2020 – thoughtfully established on the organization’s 32-year foundation of supporting compassionate, empathetic care to patients and its U-SMILE values. The Council comprises diverse team members across the organization, including allied doctors, hygienists, and office and support staff.

“Through emphasis on communication and education, talent development, and talent attraction, and giving back to the community, the DCA’s DEI Council seeks to promote and encourage diversity within all levels of the company so that we are better suited to drive change and organizational growth,” shared Erika Williams, Chief Talent Officer, and Chair of the Council.

DCA champions every kind of diversity—diversity of backgrounds, of thought, and of race, age, and gender. Through these efforts, DCA is better prepared to evolve and grow stronger as new opportunities emerge. The team is focused, from day one, on making current and future team members feel welcomed and open to sharing their thoughts, beliefs, and experiences for the betterment of the company, supported practices, and communities.

Before being honored as part of this prestigious group of businesses focused on diversity, most recent employee engagement surveys (2021-2022) indicated that DCA’s team members rated the company’s valuation of diversity highest among all questions.

DCA believes in the importance of creating an organization that welcomes everyone who walks through its doors. They are a diverse and talented team, making a true and lasting difference in the lives of others. The patients they serve, who are equally as diverse as are DCA’s team members, look to the leading DSO and its allied practices for confidence, compassion, and care.

“Being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity is a tremendous honor for DCA,” shared Jerry Rhodes, Chief Executive Officer. “We strive to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and believe that an organization that reflects those values better represents the patients and communities that DCA’s allied practices serve.”

Dental Care Alliance’s mission is to advance the practice of dentistry by partnering with and supporting dental professionals to create a lifetime of healthy smiles. DCA currently supports more than 390 uniquely branded practices with more than 900 dentists across 22 states. DCA’s allied practices represent all dental specialties and treat patients under more than 140 brand names.
